Surrey Half Marathon 2026: Thank You to Our Incredible Runners and Supporters
On Sunday the 22 March 2026, a fantastic team of 19 runners took on the Surrey Half Marathon in support of unpaid carers across Surrey, raising just over £5,600.
Starting and finishing at Woking Leisure Centre, the event brought together carers, trustees, supporters, current and former ACS staff, and an energetic team from local Nuffield Health branches. Our dedicated cheer squad kept everyone motivated along the route, helping create a warm and uplifting atmosphere.
The day began cold and cloudy, but as the race got underway the sun came out and brought a great energy with it. In the event village, ACS had a welcoming presence with flags, refreshments, selfie boards and information leaflets. Throughout the morning, members of the local community came over to say hello, thank us for our work, and find out more about the support we offer to unpaid carers.
Honestly I had the best time!! Thank you to the team and all the lovely ACS supporters, they were amazing and kept me going. I’m proud I took part and raised money for yourselves, ACS do an amazing job

- Advice and information through our Carer Helpline
- Emotional support and wellbeing activities
- Young Carers groups and specialist support
Every donation helps make sure carers across Surrey can get the support they deserve.
A massive thank you for all the support from the team at ACS both before and on the day. Everyone was so friendly, it made everything so much easier and settled my nerves. Thank you for supporting me to tell my story and to run for something so close to my heart.
A huge thank you to all our runners, volunteers and ACS staff who helped make the day such a success. We’re also grateful to the Surrey Half organisers for delivering a safe, enjoyable and well‑supported event.
